1. Who we are

Fynd is an AI-powered apartment search tool operated as an early-stage product. We aggregate publicly available rental listings from third-party platforms in Germany and present them with AI-generated analysis to help people find apartments. Questions? Reach us at contact.fyndapp@gmail.com.

2. What data we collect

We collect only what is necessary to operate the service:

  • Account data — your email address and name when you create an account. This is used to identify you and associate your housing requests with your account.
  • Housing request data — the preferences you enter when using the AI Agent (city, budget, move-in dates, room count, furnishing preferences, etc.). This data is used to run searches and generate matched results for you.
  • Usage data — basic information about how you use the service, such as which features you use. This helps us improve the product. We use Vercel Analytics, which is cookieless and does not track you across other websites.

We do not collect payment information. Fynd is free and processes no financial transactions.

3. How we use your data

We use the data you provide to:

  • Run the AI search and return matched listings for your housing request
  • Save your housing requests so you can review results later
  • Improve and debug the service
  • Contact you in response to messages you send us
  • Comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your personal data with third parties except as described in section 4.

4. Third-party services we use

To operate Fynd, we use the following services. Each has its own privacy policy.

  • Supabase — stores your account data and housing requests. Data is stored in the EU.
  • Vercel — hosts the application and provides cookieless usage analytics.
  • Google Gemini (AI) — used to analyze rental listing content and generate summaries. We send listing text (from third-party portals) to Google for processing. We do not send your personal data to Google.
  • Firecrawl — used to fetch publicly available listing pages from third-party rental platforms.

5. Cookies

We use only an essential authentication cookie to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Our analytics (Vercel Analytics) are cookieless.

6. Data retention

Your account data and housing requests are stored for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.

7. Your rights (GDPR)

Under GDPR, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate data
  • Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
  • Object to or restrict certain processing
  • Data portability
  • Lodge a complaint with the relevant supervisory authority (in Germany: the Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit)

8. Changes to this policy

We will update this policy as the product evolves. Significant changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the site. Continued use of Fynd after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
